Oilskin & Wool Ground Cloth

A comfortable base for camp

Unroll it under your tarp, beside your tent or wherever you stop for a break. The oilskin face goes against the ground, helping keep surface damp and dirt away from your bedding, while the wool side gives you a softer place to settle.

One cloth, two useful faces

The outer face is waxed cotton; the lining is 80% wool and 20% cashmere. Four corner tie-outs let you secure it to suit your setup. A centre stitch holds the layers together: this seam is an intentional part of the construction.

Choose your combination

Each finish names the oilskin first and the wool lining second. Brown and green combinations weigh approximately 2 kg; the Camo and Midnight Black editions are listed at approximately 2.5 kg. All measure approximately 2 × 1.5 m.

Build your sleeping setup

The ground cloth is supplied on its own. Add the Camp Kit for wax, 20 m of tarred rope and six Toledo stakes, or the Confort Kit for a Twin Size merino blanket and Leather Carrier. The storage bag and five fabric offcuts are optional too.

Traditional oilskin, made in Spain

Our oilskin is cotton treated with pure beeswax and natural linseed oil. No silicones or solvents. Let it dry fully before storage and refresh the wax finish when needed. Each cloth is handmade in Spain, with small differences in colour, dimensions and finish.
